The X Factor Philippines Top 20 Finalists
Tonight, July 22, 2012 20 hopefuls will be moving on to the next round: The Judges' Home Round.
The Boot Camp Round is over and from 172 contestants, only 20 will be given the chance to move on to the next round of competitions. From these 20 extremely talented contestants, 12 will go on to the live show that will start on the 4'th of August 2012.
The contestants were divided into 4 categories: boys, girls, over 25's and groups. Michael Pangilinan, KZ Tandingan and Daddy's Home were few of the early favorites who made it to the Top 20 finalists. Only four groups (instead of 5) were able to make it to the finalists, and to complete it, the judges called out girls who did not make it to their respective categories and were asked to form a group. The new formed group was named "Lucky Girls". I guess X Factor Philippines got the idea of asking individual contestants to form a group from the X Factor show where the group New Directions began.

Next week, the judges will be assigned to each category for the Judges' Home Round. Who's gonna be the judge for each category?
Here are my predictions:
Martin Nievera - Boys Category
A lot of us know that a bunch of succesful male singers idolize Martin Nievera. He's gonna be a perfect Judge and even mentor for the Boys Category.
Charice - Girls Category
Well, what can I say? We are in the generation where we need to change the perception on how a good female singer is supposed to sing. The Philippines has been dominated by Regine-ish style of singing and it's about time to do it the Charice way!
Pilita Corales - Over 25's Category
I have no further explanation regarding this. I just felt that Pilita is the rightful judge for this category.
Gary Valenciano - Groups Category
Groups need to move along with their singing. I mean, they need to do a few dance steps to be more entertaining and everybody knows that Gary V. is an expert on Moves!
